The more we fall into repetitive daily habits, the more our minds and bodies miss out on excitement and growth. When you try something new, your brain lights up like a fireworks show—energy flows, fresh experiences burst into your awareness, and new neural pathways form to support this activation. As routines settle in, those pathways become well-worn, making things feel automatic—just like that familiar drive home from work, where you arrive and can barely recall the trip. It’s easy to let touch fall into this autopilot mode too, whether you’re solo or with a partner. That’s why breaking the pattern is key to feeling truly present and alive.
Today, when it’s time for some solo pleasure, shake things up! Move to a different room, stand up, walk around, put down your phone, or turn off the porn. Exploring new spots or positions is a great place to start; then experiment with different strokes, lotions, or toys—the possibilities are endless when you give yourself permission to play.
Just yesterday, a buddy joined me for a bate. Out of nowhere, he asked, “Can I suck you?” This was completely new for us, and I was feeling playful, so I went with it. Before I knew it, I was so turned on that I came without even trying—the rush was incredible, and I couldn’t hold back. New experiences really can bring surprising results.
So go ahead—give yourself the freedom to try something different, no matter how small ( the change that is, not your dick; all sizes are amazing ). You might be surprised by how a simple change can spark excitement, connection, and pleasure in ways you never expected.
